Farmers' Market Finder is a mobile app showing all farmers' markets in the United States. The user can tap on the markers to display information about seasonal hours and goods sold.
The app features a search function where the user can move the map to any address. To move the map, the latitude and longitude of the address need to be found, which is done with HERE's geocoding service. The phone's GPS location is also kept track of and displayed on the map.
All data used in this project is from the publicly-available Farmers Markets Directory and Geographic Data, made free for projects like this by the US government.
